How to log an expense

Vyay is built for speed. There are no forms to fill out—everything is done with one simple line of text.

The Simple Rule

Amount Mode Description

Syntax Examples

Vyay Input System
Small expense (Cash)
200 cash pizza
Recurring Bill (Credit Card)
120.22 cc internet bill
Fuel (UPI)
500 upi petrol

Pro Tip: The first word is key

The first value is always the amount. The second word is how you paid (e.g., cash, upi, card). Everything after that is the description. Vyay understands this instantly so you can get on with your day.

01

Just start typing

Open the app and type what you spent. There are no boxes to click or forms to wait for—the input is always ready. Example: "500 taxi home"

02

See the preview

As soon as you hit enter, we'll show you exactly what we're going to log. You can quickly change the category or fix a typo right there.

03

Sync whenever you're ready

Your expenses stay on your device until you hit Sync. This means you can log things quickly even when you have no signal, then sync them all at once later.
